Universem Reinvents Itself, led by Hubert de Cartier

Universem celebrates 17 years by reinventing itself while maintaining continuity. Hubert de Cartier, co-founder, becomes the agency’s new CEO.

Following the successful transformation of the agency (new vision, new identity launching in early 2025, and a strengthened client portfolio), Muriel Houtermans and Joris Vandendooren are passing the torch to Hubert de Cartier.

As co-founder, Hubert steps into the role of CEO and will be supported by a strong female trio. Marie Schmitz, who joined the agency in 2019 as Client Services Lead, has been promoted to Client Services Director. Katia Couwez will oversee the agency’s business development and marketing. Chantal Charbonnier continues in her role as HR Manager.

Sébastien François, co-founder of Universem, takes the helm at Saturn, the spin-off developing CRM and Marketing Automation solutions, including partnerships with HubSpot and Actito. Simon-Pierre Breuls, also a co-founder, will continue to build bridges within the ecosystem through Maia Consulting, a firm specializing in marketing for B2B SMEs. The founding trio remains actively involved in Universem’s growth.
